Two New Pop Art Portraits Now Available
Posted on
I’ve recently added two original paintings to my website, both exploring familiar faces through bold colour, simplified shapes and layers of acrylic paint.
The first is a vivid portrait David Bowie built around reds, pinks and deep blacks, with small flashes of blue and green breaking through the composition. The second is my interpretation of Marilyn Monroe, using overlapping areas of pink, red, cream and pale blue to reconstruct one of the most recognisable faces in popular culture.
Although they share the same approach, each has developed its own character through the choice of colour and the way the shapes interact.
Both are original, hand-painted acrylic works and are now available to view and purchase through my website.
